This is another wonderful question. If I could open a store, it would be a bookstore. I’d also have a coffee shop attached. I’d want it to be a place where people could hold their book club meetings. I’d make the place feel like home for those who need to escape from life. I read a book once called Christmas by the Book by Anne Marie Ryan. I picked it up for it’s inviting cover. I’m not going to pretend that I loved this book. It was fine, you can read my review below. I loved the atmosphere this book created. I want that for us!
I’d even want a “Bookshop on Wheels”. Those types of “pop-up” bookshops are becoming extremely popular. I’d love to do that and travel from one street fair to another.
Christmas by the Book by Anne Marie Ryan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
This was a cute book, but it wasn’t an amazing book. Look, I can read a book in a day, which I’ve done in the past, but this was not one-day-read worthy. I put it aside multiple times to read other things. I saw that it had decent reviews on Goodreads and I wanted a book to put me in the Christmas spirit. I LOVED the cover, which was really my only reason to purchase the book. The characters were all static, with not much character development. Everything worked itself out at the end with a tidy little Christmas bow, which I guess is what readers want in a Christmas story. I knew what would happen at the end of the story within a few chapters. Everyone has a happy ending and that really is a Christmas miracle!!!
